Kids: Adventures in Acting & Filmmaking

Do you dream about acting on the big screen? This class offers all of the benefits of Adventures in Movie Making and focuses special attention on acting in front of the camera. While stage acting shares many of the same fundamentals, screen actors learn special techniques that are necessary when performing on a movie set. Students will be exposed to auditioning, choreographed combat, public speaking, and improvisation all through theater games. In this creative atmosphere, students will build confidence to come out of their shell and into the minds of fun characters. In addition, they get to edit out their acting mistakes and add on special effects at their own editing station with Final Cut Studio. The film festival and take home DVD will be unforgettable when YOUR face lights up the big screen!

Who Is This Course For?
This course is ideal for movie buffs, aspiring filmmakers and creative kids who are interested in acting and filmmaking. If you’d like to learn what really goes on behind the scenes to shoot, edit and produce a movie, come join us. You’ll walk away with your very own digital movie to show to your family and friends.
